I am currently reading through “Implementing Domain Driven Design” book by Vaughn Vernon and I find it to be an essential read along side Eric Evan’s masterpiece book on DDD. Eric Evan’s book is more than 10 years old and Vaughn Vernon fills in for the gap (i.e. DDD has matured in these years and this book explains what is new and important). Vaughn has also articulated some of the more abstract concepts defined in the DDD book with some great examples.
This is the first book I have come across that explains the hexagonal architecture which evolved to what now is also called “Onion architecture”.
